Beskrivelse

Sustainability and Economic Responsibility – Lessons from Denmark
This course explores the economic tools available to address climate change and environmental challenges, using Denmark as a primary case study. We will examine the core principles of environmental economics to understand how private negotiations and property rights can lead to efficient solutions to pollution without heavy regulation. Some speak of an "optimal level of pollution," but does such a point truly exist? Students will engage in brief "buzz pair/Think-Pair-Share" exercises to identify why the implementation of these theoretical models remains a challenge in practical business management. The goal is to equip students with a (Danish) perspective on how economic responsibility and sustainability can coexist through stakeholder commitment and market-based instruments.
