Beskrivelse

Biometric technologies are based on the idea that bodies are the ultimate repositories of objective identification possibilities. This presentation focuses on how this idea ‘travels’ between biometric scientist laboratories, policy fora’s and national/international security practices. In the presentation I will discuss how processes of experimentation, trial and error emerge as objective, factual knowledge and predictions of future security threats as well as the role of visibility/invisibility, presences and absences in these processes.
