ICN Congress in Barcelona, Spain! This international gathering of thousands of nurses explored nurses’ leading role in the transformation of care, with a particular focus on universal health coverage, the Sustainable Development Goals and human resources for health. The Congress provided opportunities for nurses to build relationships and to disseminate nursing knowledge and leadership across specialties, cultures and countries. The three ICN pillars – Professional Practice, Regulation and Socio-Economic Welfare – framed the scientific programme and the dynamic exchange of experiences and expertise
