Beskrivelse

Immersive storytelling at Museum Wibergis :

Museum Wibergis will open its doors in Viborg in 2026. The museum tells the story of a city that became a meeting place for power for 1,000 years.
The storytelling uses various AV experiences, including a large immersive story from the 17th century about the big annual county council meeting and trade market; Snapsting. Sound and animation have a very special and central role in the room, which is seven meters from floor to ceiling and 22 meters long. The immersive experience method is an obvious choice due to the nature of the subject, the prominent position of the exhibition and the solemn room in which it will be served.

VR as a tool for designing new museums – Museum Wibergis as case:

At museum Wibergis we push animation medium across formats, using variety of styles and creative technologies to communicate cultural heritage in collaboration with the musem experts.
Our AV team are based in Viborg with a strong connection to one of the best animation schools in the world, The Animation Workshop. Viborg is the first city in the Nordic region to be designated as a UNESCO Creative City within Media Arts and our community hosts solid creative content creators from around the world, built through years of work and experience.
In this talk we will manly focus on the work with previsualization the new museum in VR to facilitate reviews and decision making.
