Beskrivelse
This presentation introduces the large-scale KiDM project and how it is recontextualized in QUALE in a small-scale comparative Nordic research design in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. QUALE aims at exploring how students and teachers respond to the KiDM design, and to what extent local contexts co-shape their uses and understandings. The broader purpose is to validate the theory of literature education developed within the KiDM project. The presentation argues that literature can be understood as an aesthetic exploration of existence, in that the aesthetic design is used to express and articulate ways of sensing, understanding, existing in and exploring the world (Ingarden, 1931; Rosenblatt, 1938; Poulet, 1968). Therefore, exploring literature has a dual character in an inquiry-based approach to teaching literature. It becomes a didactically designed exploration of an aesthetic exploration of a particular perspective on the world.
