This symposium will explore and discuss the relation between research in VET and the teaching and learning at colleges. The objective is to improve the cooperation so research contribute to VET practice. The starting point is experiences from Island, Sweden and Denmark pointing on perspectives and challenges in the relation. The perspectives can be definition of the content of research, methodological matters or the use of research results. Challenges can be the role of the researcher and the cooperation between research and practice from defining the problem to implementing results. The symposium opens these challenges and perspective and we will discuss how NordYrk can contribute to further work.
