Ransom Lekunze from the Metropolitan University College, Copenhagen, Denmark spent one month (23 February to 24th March 2016) at the Makerere University, Uganda as visiting lecturer within the framework of the African Diaspora Support to African Universities programme which he is a grantee. The African Diaspora Support to African Universities programme, funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and managed by the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA), is aimed to support African diaspora scholars in higher education and research institutions abroad to engage and share their scholarly know-how with their African counterparts. It involves pairing scholars from the diaspora with their Sub-Saharan Africa peers in joint research projects and academic activities that foster partnerships and contribute to higher education goals in Africa.
