The project will develop a child-centred competences framework for ECEC, creating an innovative online course to support ECEC students to reflect on and evaluate their child-centred competences. The course will support students in considering both different theoretical interpretations of childcentredness, alongside international practical examples. The course will support students whilst they undertake professional placements/practicum. To facilitate the focus on students' practice, resources will be developed for those who act as mentors for students on placement/practicum, designed to support them in enhancing the child-centred competences of ECEC students.
