Chilemation - Skill development in Chilean 2D feature animation film

CHILEMATION is a 4 full months program to improve the skill set of a group of 32-40 professional young Chilean animators (75%) and producers (25%) by incubating them into the growing feature film and TV series market in Chile**. It is pursued through intensive training in 2d drawing, 3d/2d animation pipeline, company startup, entrepreneurship and business market training. CHILEMATION connects the industry with educational institutions across Chile to generate a much needed coherence between what animators are taught and what the market needs. CHILEMATION is set to identify and develop a unique Latin American style of animation that will both strengthening the cultural identity and coherence throughout the whole region and generate new employment and business markets for and supporting Latin American feature film and TV series animation.
*it is a “part-time after workday” program, aspiring to senior level, every two days, alternating 16-20 and 16-20 participants, supporting the working conditions of the participants.
**at least ⅔ of the participants will be Chilean.
