The Animation Workshop has agreed to be in partnership with International Consulting Expertise in Turkey, to develop research and training materials for game development in Turkey for digital visual industry professionals.
ECITE: Emergence of Creative Industries and Transformation of Economy of Gaming, Wearables and New Generation Film Production” project is funded by the European Commission within the scope of Instrument for Pre-Accession Funds (IPA). The project is aimed to overcome challenges that prevent Turkish Creative Industries to prevail such as lack of targeted policies and institutional structures, insufficiency of financial and managerial skills in management, inadequate cooperation between stakeholders and academia, and insufficient resources. Therefore, the project’s objective is to create a sectoral creative hub to promote competitive and sustainable SMEs, micro-SMEs and entrepreneurs, spin-offs in gaming, wearable technologies and new generation in film-making sectors. Middle East Technical University (METU, the beneficiary of the project) and sectoral creative centers will provide all the necessary support to achieve the expected and desired result. It is expected that SMEs, micro-SMEs and entrepreneurs will deliver innovative and good value services in a safe collaboration environment with resources by mentoring and talent development facilities.
