Improving human and food security and women’s empowerment in tribal communities in India through community-based action research, strengthened capacities and partnerships

The overall objective of the proposed three-year project is improved human security, resilience and gender equity in tribal communities in India. The proposed project is conceptualized as a partnership for policy advocacy-cum-community-based action research, with the specific objective of generating a strategic climate for evidence-based research and policy dialogue on food security and nutrition of tribal girls and women, with practice and research collaborations.

This project proposal got through the first round of funding from the European Commission's Joint Call for Proposals for India: 2016-2017. Reference: EuropeAid/154670/DD/ACT/IN. But the full application was unsuccessful at the final round.
