Mediation of professional key-concepts in higher education

Beskrivelse

A research project regarding characteristics, functions, and importance in Higher Education. The overall aim of the research is to study; a) the theoretical charge and empirical grounding of key concepts in different professional educational programmes, b) how the use of key concepts in professional education, training and qualification can be problematized from an educational, political discourse.

In 2023 a pilot study will be performed in Denmark and Sweden to better understand the complexity of mediation in higher education and define relevant categories for coming studies. The data collection is based on interviews with lecturers educating in social work (kindergarten), teaching (biology) and data programming and follow-up focus group interviews with graduating students in the respective subject area.

The first results and conclusions of the study are expected to be published at the beginning of 2024.
