Beskrivelse

The primary aim of the study is to investigate the role, if any, that narrative identity con-struction plays in young peoples’ disengagement from extremist online environments. This is achieved through a case study of one Danish participant (n = 1) who has previously been involved in an extremist group and interacted with other members of this network online. Specifically, we conduct a semi-structured life history interview (McAdams, 2008) lasting approximately two hours.
"Marco" (pseudonym) is a former member of an online extremist network who has volun-teered to share his experiences of disengagement from this network with us through an interview.
