Beskrivelse

Journalist´s are empowered with special rights and privilege's in European and Danish media law, but what is required to apply those rights and privileges in an age of evolving (social) media. This is uncertain due to the social media landscape where employment is no longer a precondition to publish. Same applies for educational background. Everyone can publish information, periodically and on a variety of subjects. This raises an important question: who is the "journalist". This is no longer obvious and will be sought answered from a legal dogmatic perspective analyzing the "media law fields" in search of criteria´s across copyright law, data protection law, procedural law and criminal law in Denmark and EU. This joint research project between the Danish School of Journalism and Centre of Innovation- & Information Law will be defended ultimo 2017.
