Strengthen higher education in the field of social policy making and social services delivery by developing new study programmes, improving existent study programmes and establish effective links between academic programs and social and labour market needs.

The project aims to improve existing courses and introduce new programmes and courses in social policymaking and social work in the three cycles of higher education in Serbia. Thus, it corresponds to the overallobjectives of Joint Projects in Curricular Reform. However, the application is not explicit about the structure,content, teaching and assessment methods of the programmes that will be developed and of the existingcurricula that will be reviewed and modernised. The project clearly targets the national priority of Social Services for Joint Projects in Curricular Reform for Serbia and, in particular, refers to preventive and caretakingassistance to persons facing risks of life, social inclusion and safeguard human rights. However, these specific areas are not discussed further and presented in the content and learning outcomes of the
programmes or teaching materials to be developed.
The project aims at a significant change and modernisation of higher education at the institutional level andaccreditation of the curricula. On the other hand, the development of a double, multiple or a joint degree, recognition arrangements between higher educations in the EU and in the Partner Country are not foreseen,quality assurance is not sufficiently addressed, while these aspects should be tackled in a Curricular Reform project and are important for creating an impact on the reform and modernisation of higher education in the Partner Country at institutional level.
