The GPA was established between like-minded organisations in 2018 when VIA University College (VIA UC) Aarhus, Denmark signed a three-way agreement with the Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning (Humber College) Ontario, Canada, and Otago Polytechnic (OP), New Zealand
The invitation for collaboration came from the Research Center for Quality of Education, Profession Policy and Practice at VIA UC, and the call was to initiate our research based on questions about student centered learning, student agency, international collaboration and comparative studies.

The purpose of this project is to investigate and understand (1) the changing landscape of how we interact with students andmake the move towards agency in the context of SCL; (2) to understand  how agency in the context of SCL is understood and used in our different institutions; (3) to jointly explore agency in the context of SCL in threedifferent countries and cultures.
