Beskrivelse
Animated short film to raise awareness about Alzheimer, how we construct our narratives and the importance of being present at each moment. It's a collage, mix of techniques combining traditional animation, , photography and dressmaking language, especially patchwork .
The story and preproduction has been developed at different phases at Open Workshop Studio, including story development, storyboard, designs, linetest, animatic and a pitch bible for further development.The production has been carried out by Animated Learning Lab and Se-ma-for Studio , as an external advisor for the storyline. The production is on going.
The project is part of a PhD research as the main study case. It was awarded by Anifest 2012 , International Pitch Forum (Czech Republic) exhibited during The Ecstatic Truth Symposium , Royal College of Arts in London; selected at 3D Wired; It's part of several articles about memory loss and identity through animation (Visiona, Spain; Computer Graphics 2016, US) and the International Exhibition of Textile Art, Art Al Vent, Spain. It also inspired a mock up for an APP to use storytelling in hospitals.
The story is based on a real case of memory loss, a tribute to alzheimer affected and their caregivers, aswel as it represents how fragile life and memories are.
