For a short project description in Danish: Press 'Download'.

The project consists of a randomized controlled trial of a predictive risk model used as a tool to improve decision-making in the assessment of notification of children at risk. The project builds on a preliminary study consisting of the development of a tool based on rich data from Statistics Denmark on notifications received in Denmark 2014-2017. Implementation of the tool in child and family welfare services is monitored closely with a specific focus on the implementation of the tool in social work practice and the impact on social workers’ ability to improve the assessment of notifications, leading to a strengthened provision of help to children in need of social services. The project is undertaken in cooperation between VIA University College and Centre for Child Research, Aarhus University.
