What impact does industry disruption have on distribution. To clarify and research the challenge which has become evident in the recent development of new media platforms, which is accessibility. This has come to the surface with distributers who for the greater part of a century have relied on the same approach of distribution methods including venues, film/animation festivals and media conferences. This also includes the classical concept of either tele-broadcasted television, cable networks, or physical storage mediums like the classical VHS tapes and DVDs. All of these methods belong to a traditional idea about distribution. However, the behavior in both consumption and platforms has changed, and so have the actual mediums. With the latest development in hardware technologies such as games, apps for smart devices, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and extended reality (XR), many of these mediums require a different distribution method due to both physical constraints as well as user behavior.
