Abstract
What role do teachers’ guides play for teachers and how do different uses and designs of teachers’ guides impact teaching and teachers’ use of learning materials? Can teachers’ guides have an impact on student learning outcome? How can teacher guides be designed to suit teachers’ needs and conditions so that teachers will actually consult the guides? In our view, these questions deserve exploration and studying. Therefore, we carried out an international review of available research to determine what previous research has to say about these themes.
