Beyond Entangled merges physics, crafting, fine arts, materials engineering, and textile design to reimagine, materialise and realise novel textile concepts. Common to these concepts is their ability to transform along with the ever-changing environment. The timescales contained in these textile transformations vary significantly creating an interesting interplay of diverse and sometimes intersecting qualities and functionalities. This may expand the potential use-cases of a single textile, as well as increase the use-time through reviving how we see textiles as alterable elements. It is also a story of what emerges in intersections of various different research paths and mixed methodologies.
