Abstract

An aesthetic perspective on frameworking and attunement in a drama pedagogical practice. How do attunement moments arise? Can they be planned and frameworked? What characterizes good frames? What does it require from the teacher, and how can we use framework and attunement? Attunement means an open and engaged mind to aesthetic work. Being capable of creating inspiring, physical and mental frames has a crucial significance for developing aesthetic contents and expression in drama pedagogy. Being teachers on the social education line at VIA University College and knowledge employees at Knowledge Center for Children and Youngsters, we have experience in working with two drama aesthetical projects. Sonja Svendsen with focus on the influence frameworking has, in order to involve the participants as co-creators of an aesthetic expression. Hanne Kusk with focus on the attunement concept and which influence meeting has on children’s and youngsters’ receptiveness/engagement in relation to the aesthetical.
