Abstract

Higher education in Denmark is applying collaborative learning strategies like peer-learning and flipped classroom. The different collaborative learning theories have student involvement and participation in common and many implore high student activity and is widely adaptable to theoretical education. Students at the biomedical laboratory science (BLS) program spend a third of their education in the laboratory. To enhance the practical learning and help the students to initiate and take responsibility for their education, we applied collaborative learning in the form of peer tutoring to the practical laboratory exercises.
