Abstract
The article describes a Danish-Chinese educational cooperation intended to create a shared training program. The training programme will involve nursing students spending respectively two years in China and two in Denmark. The training will be given in English and Danish. Funds from the government's globalisation budget have facilitated travel to China and the framework for cooperation with significant partners in China: partners much sought after by Chinese students.
Currently the cooperation has resulted in Danish nursing practical experience in China, and students from China undergoing the same in Denmark at Herlev Hospital.
The National Board of Health and the Ministry of Foreign of Affairs support the cooperation, which can be seen as a way of meetings the demand for an international dimension to Danish education.
