Abstract

This chapter draws on data from a qualitative research study: ‘Pedagogy in the shade of corona’. Through virtual ethnographic interviews in May and November 2020, we examined how Danish parents and childcare professionals experienced the corona lockdown and reopening of nurseries and kindergartens. In the chapter, we examine the changed collaborative practices between parents and childcare professionals by: 1) exploring the changed conditions of the collaborative practices between parents and childcare professionals during the pandemic; and 2) with the concept ‘chain of care’ analysing what possibilities and challenges these changes posed for the essential task of parent–staff collaboration for the child’s well-being.
