Abstract
Background:
Spinal pain represents a significant global health burden, necessitating innovative strategies that minimize additional strain on healthcare resources. As demographic shifts predict increased pressure on healthcare systems, self-management interventions (SMIs) are expected to play an increasingly vital role. However, the effectiveness of these interventions, as well as the barriers and facilitators influencing their implementation, must be thoroughly examined to ensure their efficacy and sustainability.
Purpose:
To provide a comprehensive overview of the effects, barriers, and facilitators associated with the use of SMIs for improving pain, disability, and quality of life in patients with spinal pain.
