Abstract

Abstract
This paper builds on an empirical study on students' experiences with participation in online learning networks during the COVID-19 lockdown, which necessitated a home study period from March 2020 to June 2020 in higher education in Denmark.

The overall aim of the paper is to provide an empirical investigation through the contemporary theories within the field of Networked Learning. The overall research question entails an inquiry into how the students were networked during the Covid-19 shutdown, and the implications that had on their learning through participation in online educational activities.

The empirical data consist of interviews and surveys with students from a variation of University College Programmes within business-, administration-, construction-, technology-, health-, pedagogy- and teacher education.

The analysis is based on the contemporary understanding of ‘networkedness’ and the paper presents three cases indicating different perspectives on networked learning.
