Abstract
This study examines how organizations handle the internal dimension of crisis management and crisis communication before, during and after a crisis. ► During a crisis, employees typically produce more informal communication, lack information, and feel frustrated and insecure. ► The larger the organization the more crisis-prepared. ► The employees are communicatively active in a crisis situation. ► Public organizations have their own approach to internal crisis management and crisis communication.
