Entrepreneurial Experiences in Unfamiliar Nursing Contexts

In a time of high demand for nurses in hospitals and municipalities, it may seem absurd to offer students the opportunity to learn nursing elsewhere. However, this is the point of departure for this teaching case, where we discuss how entrepreneurial internships for nursing students in unfamiliar nursing contexts can be rewarding for both the student and our welfare society. The experiment broke with the traditional framework for clinical courses in nursing education, which, according to the students themselves, has led to unique learning experiences where a dialectical process between professional and personal development takes place in unfamiliar nursing contexts.
