Entrepreneurial Learning, Pedagogy, and Didactics, from a Dewey Perspective

Publikation: Bidrag til bog/antologi/rapportBidrag til encyklopædi/leksikon

Abstract

The philosopher Dewey and others developed pragmatic philosophies that have inspired educators in entrepreneurship education for decades because of their inherent focus on entrepreneurial learning and action. Academic discussions and practical applications of entrepreneurship in educational programs, incubator facilities, and courses have widely included the notion of learning by doing. This entry provides an understanding of entrepreneurial learning and pedagogy as seen from the perspective of Dewey’s work and writings. Furthermore, a way forward for a discussion of entrepreneurial didactics based on Dewey’s thoughts is established.
