Abstract

On May 13th, 2025, TEACH4SD held the fifth ESD TALK with the theme Entrepreneurial Skills in the Green Transition.
Entrepreneurship and the mindset supporting this will be crucial when building robust societies and sustainable markets. To support this from a skills side, the European Commission has developed various tools and guidelines to assist educational providers, businesses, and sectoral organizations to achieve this. This session focused on GreenComp and EntreComp, both published by the Joint Research Centre, as key tools for the business sector in the green transition. GreenComp, introduced in 2022, outlines four core areas: i) embodying sustainability values, ii) understanding complex sustainability systems, iii) envisioning sustainable futures and iv) acting for sustainability. Together with EntreComp, which highlights transversal entrepreneurial skills, these frameworks provide essential guidance for businesses to navigate towards a more sustainable and competitive economy. The webinar focused on exploring the development and application of these tools and demonstrating their practical use through concrete examples from the Erasmus+ funded project TEACH4SD.
