Abstract
Vibeke Røn Noer and Camilla Kirketerp Nielsen discuss conducting fieldwork at their places of work in Denmark wherein they both teach—nursing and veterinary educational contexts—and how student nurses and veterinary pre-professional experiences shape the strategies by which their lives are lived. Noer and Nielsen provide insight into the lives as well as the professionalization of their students and argue that doing fieldwork “at home” fosters this insight.
