Abstract

In Denmark, an estimated 40,000 individuals reside in nursing homes. These residents often lead sedentary lifestyles, leading to adverse health outcomes and diminished quality of life. Globally, person-centred care is recognized as a crucial element for healthcare quality and patient safety. The underlying rationale is that through education and training of nursing home staff in person-centred practices, a transformative cultural shift can be facilitated. Consequently, this shift is anticipated to enable the provision of care that effectively and in the long term mitigates sedentary behavior among nursing home residents
