Abstract
SWOP/Cobostories is a novel new system for engagement in early educative constructs that uses self-directed and project-based learning to activate students in the research, design, and production of short, animated films. Using a framework of Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Critical Thinking, this report sets out to capture and analyze the results of the SWOP/Cobostories project in terms of its efficacy in creating impactful learning experiences, expanding the practice and bounds of educators in Europe, and allowing students
to express themselves more freely and completely. This report focuses on and is informed by the observation of three workshop environments as well as qualitative and quantitative surveys conducted with students and their teachers and leaders in three schools in Europe to determine their opinions of and experiences in the project.
