Abstract

Creative Tastebuds is a non-profit platform for interdisciplinary dialogue, practice and research on taste. The intention is to continuously stimulate debate and develop new knowledge to meet societal challenges related to food and eating. With Creative Tastebuds 2021 we, the organizers, together with presenters and participants co-created a symposium aiming to qualify questions and studies across disciplines on how we all can eat sustainably for both pleasure and planet. The symposium was designed to create an ambitious, interdisciplinary and creative atmosphere, where dialogues were facilitated in innovative ways even across virtual and physical participants. In this paper, we describe how and why, the symposium was designed like this, show examples of the dialogue-creating instruments used, and present the video-footage that covers the entire event.
