Abstract

Listen to Leigh Anne Rauhala, senior lecturer in social work, Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, Helsinki, and Dorthe Juliane Høvids, senior lecturer in social work, University College Copenhagen, explain the Urban SOS framework. You will become familiar with the Urban SOS frameworks’ four dimensions: critical social work, phronesis and value-based thinking, anthropology, and geography, and you will hear how the notion ‘the right to city’ is approached in the Urban SOS project. The talk was recorded in Ghent, Belgium during a training of educator’s week for social work lecturers from the US, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, and Denmark in May 2022.
