    Abstract

This presentation takes its outset Project SCOPE, based at Research Programme for Science and Maths Education, VIA UC, Denmark, and explores the interests of children in connection to nature, health, and technology. In SCOPE we are curious as to how some children think nature, technology, or health concern them, while others find it boring or distant from their everyday life.

We aim to use that knowledge to pave the way for all children to have access and equal opportunities within nature, health, or technology and to develop science capital (Archer, 2012). Further we aim for teaches to acknowledge children’s diverse array of science experiences as valuable capitals to create equal opportunities for science education in the future.
