Abstract
Action research is a family of research approaches, philosophies of science, and methods which all share the view that research processes are connected to an action perspective or performative element. Critical Utopian Action Research (CUAR) is a part of this family. CUAR emerged in Denmark and was inspired by a critical theoretical research tradition, a critical pedagogical research tradition, and a future oriented research tradition.
