Description

Make an animated music video about "Legends and myths"

The animation competition is for children in public school. Through the competition, ANIMOK involves school classes from all over Denmark in the production of their own animated films, and thereby gives the children a special insight into the marvelous world of animated media.

The classes had the task of making an animated shortfilm on the subject, where music / sound and pictures were to support each other.

The task is simple; the classes must make an animated film based on a given theme and with some simple animation rules, such as that the films must be made of rubbish. Each class has the opportunity to get help from an animation consultant for up to 3 hours. They can help with storyboard, design, animation sound etc. The competition ends with the big ANIMOK day, which takes place during the Viborg Animation Festival, where the classes participate in a festive award ceremony in the cinema and in creative workshops guided by professional filmmakers and illustrators

We place great emphasis on taking children's work seriously, and want to recognize them as creative people, which is why we have a professional film jury who vote. New jury members are elected each year.
This year the jury consisted of director Karla Holmbeck, director and animator Karsten Hoop and animator Hanne Pedersen. Karla and Karsten also co-hosted the ANIMOK day and presented the prizes to the winners in the cinema.
