Description

The LAB represents an exhibition setting for a wide range of projects that have been undertaken during the course of the year in collaboration with The Animation Workshop.

Expanded Animation LAB 2020 has engaged with Jens Settergren, a Danish visual artist who is concerned with contemporary mythologies, desire, and visual culture. His works reflect how these subjects are expressed through images, objects, and language. Jens will present his audio visual/installation The GPS Will Take Me Home,, a celebrated piece that touches on artificial intelligence, simulated life, and the instinctive ability of a bird to find its way over long distances.

In addition, LAB 2020 will present finished works from Kim Laybourn, Sophie Hjerl, and David Tobias Bonde Jensen, Danish artists who work in a wide range of media spanning from installation, sculpture, sound, animation, VR, and video.
