a. TITLE: Understanding the person behind the professional teacher educator.
b. Background and content of the WS: Teacher educators are recruited from a range of career trajectories the majority from either a research background or from a school teacher background. The participant will be asked to draw their career trajectory as a starting point for a discussion in the significance of individual experiences and career choices. This personal perspective is the driving argument for life history interviews in clarifying teacher educators meaning in their professional work. The ws will also cover the use of observation to saturate the preliminary understanding from the life history interviews and the use of follow interviews to validate preliminary analysis of interviews and observations.
