VAF Artist program 2021

Description

Every year, VAF chooses a filmmaker / artist to be this year's VAF Artist and in collaboration with the person, a special VAF Artist program is developed, which consists of film screenings, talks and masterclasses.

This year we were able to warmly welcome home to the Danish animation director and cartoonist Tor Fruergaard as this year's VAF Artist. Tor Fruergaard created back in 2007 the splatter puppet film Zombiewestern at the Open Workshop at The Animation Workshop in Viborg, which subsequently became a major cult film in many countries.

The focal point for Tor is to examine how he can best get his stories told. Through this year's VAF Artist program, he showed the audience how he works out his ideas and how he constantly as a performing artist wants to relate to the personal and about finding his niche.
