Organisation profile
The Research and Development Centre for Health and Welfare Technology is one of eight research centres at VIA University College and has about 80 employees. Our research strengthens the cooperation between different healthcare sectors with a focus on helping patients and their relatives through healthcare research. We collaborate with VIA's other research environments as well as with private and public partners both nationally and internationally.
Our work creates improvements in practice and new possibilities for treatment. We also contribute with new approaches, methods and technologies to strengthen education in the field so that they match and create value for practice.
The centre's research is divided into five programmes:
