Research
My research interests focus on how we can create and strengthen future education by drawing on new digital technologies as well as experimental and playful approaches that challenge traditional understandings of education and teaching. Through design-based methods, I have explored how blended educational formats, the integration of technological literacy in subjects, and playful approaches in schools and teacher education can open up new meanings, opportunities, and challenges for education in both contemporary and future contexts.
Current Research and development projects
I am currently involved in two national research and development projects:
Cotek: Co-design of Technological Understanding in Teacher Education (2025–27) is a project initiated by the Knowledge Centre for Digital Technological Understanding and funded by the Danish Ministry of Higher Education and Science. The project has two main aims: 1) To develop research-based knowledge tools, vocabularies, and teaching materials through co-design to support teacher educators in integrating technological literacy in their subjects. And 2) to establish, develop, and disseminate technological literacy within teacher education through co-teaching, where researchers and teacher educators collaborate to design and test new teaching practices.

P+L Praxis (2023–26) is a project funded by the LEGO Foundation and the Danish University Colleges. It focuses on developing new and diverse opportunities for participation for children and young people in early childhood education and schools – as well as in teacher and pedagogue education – through the qualities and characteristics of play.

Teaching and supervision
I teach and supervise primarily in learning design, design-based methodology, playful approaches and the use of digital technologies in education. In addition, I serve as an academic supervisor for assistant professors.
