Boardmember of The Danish Language Counsil 2020 - 2024. Boardmember of The danish Association for Danish Teachers at Teacher Deucations. Member of counsils for advising The Danish Ministry of Education in literacy and testing.

Research foci

Research, development and teacing literacy, subject specific literacy and disciplinary literacy in primary school, lower secondary school and upper secondary school with a special focus on Vocational Educational Training (VET) and the transition from primary to secondary school. I have many years of experience working with subject specific and disciplinary literacy in the science subjects and social sciences. Besides, I have participated in several projects in reading and teaching reading, testing, Danish as a second language and students with reading disabilities.

I also participate in research related to literacy and learning materials, the use and content of learning materials and teachers guides. Find more information (in Danish) here.

I have been using Systemic Functional Linguistics by M.A.K. Halliday and genre theory inspired by J. Martin and D. Rose and I have been working with Discourse analysis using J. P. Gee.

Teaching experience

I teach Danish at the teacher educations both for in-service and pre-service teachers. I teach method and methodology at the bacehlors courses.

Forskning og udvikling i fagdidaktik, særligt danskfagets didaktik i grundskolen omfattende læse/skrivedidaktik, litteraturdidaktik og it- og mediedidaktik.
