Personal profile

Presentation

I conduct research at the intersection of digital technologies, learning, and education, with a particular emphasis on technological literacy and computational thinking. My work is grounded in the tradition of Science and Technology Studies (STS), exploring the co-constitutive dynamics through which societies, technologies, and human practices mutually shape and transform one another. I have published and taught extensively within this domain.

As academic lead of the research program Digital Technology, Learning, and Design, my current research agenda includes:

  • The affective dimensions of student engagement in learning processes, particularly in relation to technology
  • Degrowth and the role of digital technologies in a world of finite resources, where technologies function not only as solutions but also as sources of systemic challenges
  • AI-supported programming (vibe coding) in technological literacy education
  • Repair, DIY practices, and mash-up design as pathways to technological agency and mastery
  • Normative and ethical considerations in computational modeling, including the performative effects of models in socio-technical systems
  • Didactical approaches to user studies, impact analyses, and critical engagement with technology in educational contexts
  • Speculative, activist, and artistic uses of programming and digital technologies as expressive modalities in teaching and learning

If you are a researcher, educator, technology developer—or bring another perspective—and are interested in collaboration, please feel free to reach out.
