Mental health:
Mental health in a mind-body perspective, especially including the body’s influence on mental health and on reducing and preventing stress, depression and anxiety. The meaning and the influence of mind-body connection, bodily touch, massage, basic body awareness therapy (BBAT), mindfulness, relaxation etc. on mental health.
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD):
Everyday life living with COPD. How to achieve rest, reduced anxiety, reduced dyspnea and more energy. Barriers and motivational factors for activities giving breathlessness and how to achieve motivation and courage for getting breathless. Development and implementation of functional testing as a supplement and sometimes instead of the lung function test.
Amputation and claudicatio intermittens:
Prevention of amputation by treatment for claudicatio intermittens. Experiences and identity in cases of leg amputation. Everyday life after amputation of an extremity, incorporation of the prothesis, phantom pain and phantom sensations as different experiences, sorrow and crisis, reintegration in oneself, ones’ own body and in society – now in a new state.
