Francisca Braga is a research assistant at VIA University College in the Research Center for Building, Water, Climate and Environment in Horsens, Denmark. She graduated from Porto University, Portugal in 2017 with an integrated master in Environmental Engineering, focusing on water sector. In the last semester of 2019 she worked as an intern at the Wetsus research institute in Leeuwarden, Netherlands where she had the chance to work with production of biopolymers from activated sludge at a pilot scale. In 2020, she graduated from Aalborg University, Denmark with a master´s degree in Environmental Management and Sustainable Science.
Currently, Francisca is an active member of the International Water Association (IWA) and the Young Water Professionals in Denmark. At VIA University College, Francisca is been working within the drinking water systems mainly with biofilms.
