Guohan has background and expertise in the interdisciplinary field from civil engineering, geosciences, urban planning and computer science. He has 8-year experience in flood modelling, in-situ monitoring, drone remote sensing, flood model development, GIS-application development and artificial intelligence. He got his PhD in the research on large-scale and high-resolution urban flood modelling from University of Copenhagen, and he had post-Doc experiences in University of Copenhagen and two-year experience in Aalborg Univerisity. His research interest lies in digital twins, climate change adapation and urban flood model/GIS application development.
He has the expertise in hydrological and hydraulic modelling (MIKE FLOOD, EPASWMM, PCSWMM) for long-term simulations across drought/flooding periods. He also skilled with GIS programming using Python, GIS software (ArcGIS, ArcGISpro, QGIS, GRASS) for customized GIS application development. Aside from this, He is skilled with terrain data processing, satellite/UAVs remote sensing, online/offline senser installations, data visualization and machine learning (scikit-learn, pytorch, Keras) provided from GitHub.
