Personal profile

Research and development areas

My main professional interest is concerned with how relationships in young children's lives can support their development and well-being. I am particularly interested in how collaboration between children’s close caregivers and different professionals in the daily life of the child can contribute in this respect. To this end, I adopt systems theoretical thinking to conceptualize and operationalize attachment theoretical understandings of development and the concept of mentalization.

I also greatly enjoy teaching - especially regarding clinical counselling skills, developmental and social psychology, and qualitative research methods.
